Coops omitted from Malta Budget 2017 Speech
The Malta Co-operative Federation expressed its disappointment at the fact that for the first time in this legislature the co-operative sector was not included in the Malta Budget 2017 Speech. This notwithstanding that the positive proposals that were included in past years’ budgets have not been implemented.
The Malta Co-operative Federation believes that co-operatives are an essential tool to achieve social justice. The Federation iterates that once the promised reforms are implemented and all Co-operative Federations are treated equitably, a lot can be achieved that is based on sound principles and values, that effectively ensure that prosperity reaches everyone.
