The Malta Cooperative Federation (MCF) and Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS Malta) have presented a joint working discussion paper on migrant-led cooperatives in Malta.
The paper explores opportunities and challenges in the current legislative and procedural framework in Malta and makes a series of recommendations. This is the first step of a JRS-MCF initiative to engage relevant stakeholders to identify any potential hindrances that make it difficult for the asylum-seeking population to access cooperative membership, intending to resolve them.
