Mr Rolan Micallef Attard addressed a representative number of Maltese accountants at the Malta Institute of Accountants SMP Forum 2015 held at The Westin Dragonara in St Julians on the 17th April 2015.
In the first part of his intervention the Federation’s CEO provided a comprehensive overview of the principles and values of the co-operative business model and uncovered a number of coop success stories in the world. In the second part the international and local co-operative structures were outlined in detail giving a clear explanation of the main articles of the legislation of particular interest to the audience. In the final part of his presentation Mr. Micallef Attard updated the accountants participating at the Forum on the consultation progress on proposed amendments to the current cooperative legislation .
