Malta Boatmen Mooring Services Co-op Limited join MCF
The Malta Co-operative Federation Council enrolled the Malta Boatmen Mooring Services Co-op Limited as a new Member Society of the Federation on April 28, 2020. The MCF Council Members welcome the co-operative to the Federation. With the affiliation of the Malta Boatmen Mooring Services Co-op Limited the MCF now boasts of a strong membership base in the maritime sector. MCF affiliated members working directly in the Maritime Sector now include; Comino Ferries Co-op Limited, Malta Boatmen Mooring Services Co-op Limited, Malta Maritime Pilots Co-operative Society Ltd, MMRTC, Ports Foremen Co-operative Ltd, Professional Nautical Services Cooperative Ltd

Multiple barriers impose limitations on women, hindering their access to opportunities, often translating into legal restrictions that institutionalise women’s marginalisation. Eliminating those barriers that thwart gender equality is a critical target for cooperative action and a key priority for the International Cooperative Alliance and its member organisations, which aim for a genderresponsive implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. MCF congratulates new Prime Minister
The Malta Co-operative Federation (MCF) sent a letter to Dr. Robert Abela, congratulating him for his appointment as Malta's nineth Prime Minister The federation said that its council and members look forward to working with the government to strengthen and promote the cooperative business model. "The Federation looks forward to working with the government on initiatives that boost Malta's huge potential in the social economy sector, amongst which there's cooperative housing and social cooperatives." Malta Cooperative Federation reaction to Auditor General report on Coops
The Malta Co-operative Federation (MCF) has taken note of the November 2019 report issued by the Auditor-General on the Co-operative sector in Malta. The Federation notes that various issues raised by the Auditor-General reflect what MCF and its Members have been saying for years.
